Description
The Graduate Certificate of Entomology is of 6 months duration covering all major entomological subjects. Each Primary Insect Order will be covered in detail including the morphology of each group, methods of collection and preservation, identification within each order and a practical allocated assignment during this course duration which must be completed.
The course will comprise a series of demonstrations and allocated tasks on these aspects as they relate to the major orders of insects and related arthropods. All demonstrations will be conducted by Institute staff expert in this area of study.
The course will be conducted weekly over a 6 month period commencing in early 2026.
NOTE: This course will only be conducted once yearly and only 20 places have been allocated, so the Institute advises that you enroll early to secure your position.
NOTE: Pre Paid and Pre - Enrolled students will be given first acceptance to this program.
COURSE UNIT REQUIREMENTS: Students for the Graduate Certificate of Entomology must complete the following Courses and Modules prior to being accepted:
Introduction to Entomology (Certificate Course) - NIOE-10M
Insect Morphology and Structure (Certificate Course) - Module 1 - NIOE-11M
Insect Morphology and Structure (Certificate Course) - Module 2 - NIOE-12M
Insect Identification Methodology (Certificate Course) - NIOE - 019T
